Uncle Paul, everyday I think about you and regret not taking the time to get to know you better.  I never imagined I would not have the time.  I miss you.  I want you to know we are all looking out for Stacey, Ella, and Miranda.  All my love, Aubrey Close

I just saw this while looking for Westville Info on the internet. I was shocked and surprised. I remember PD as a little shy guy. I'm sorry for your loss.

Thinking of you and missing you on Memorial Day  / Henry And Mary Falconio (Parents)

Dear Paul,

On this three month anniversary of your leaving us and appropriately falling on Memorial Day, we wanted to share with our family and friends this Memorial Day rememberence that Ann wrote and put in the paper today with your smiling face.  If you were with us, you could help us computer dummies with how to scan it into this memorial, but then if you were with us, we wouldn't need this site.

Paul,  we still don't want to believe your gone.  We keep thinking this really didn't happen, your just out of town.  We keep waiting for you to come through the door with luggage and family in tow.  We want to pick up the phone and call you with our computer problems and get the latest on new gadgets.  We have tried to celebrate holidays, anniversarys, graduations, and birthday (including yours and those of your beautiful little girls).  But, they are not the same anymore.  As mom and dad say so often, "Paul would of loved this".  What a presence you were in our lives!  Your wife and girls miss you so much and are trying their best to adjust to a life without you, an impossible task it seems as times.  We cherish the time we can spend with them as it is as close to you as we can get.  We miss you and we love you!  Sadly missed by your family.

I thought this would sink in some time, but it hasn't yet.  It really just does just seem that you are away and will be back soon.  Alone time is spent reflecting on everything funny you said or did and always thinking about your smile and how much you loved your family.  Someone will say or do something and it brings instant tears.  Some things just don't seem as important anymore.  Love and miss you.  Close

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!  I really can't believe you are not here to celebrate with us.  (The first of the firsts) I feel like it was just yesterday when we were celebrating your big 40 at Don's restaurant and can't believe I won't have the priviledge of throwing you a 50th.  I miss your smile and laugh.  May you have a wonderful birthday!

The girls say Happy Birthday Daddy!  They talk about you a lot.  They talk about missing you and knowing that you can't come back but still wanting you to anyway.  Know you are missed!

Love,

Your girls :)

Today would have been Paul's 42nd birthday.  It is somehow symbolic that it fell on Good Friday.  May God bless him, his wife and the twins always.

Love,

Happy Birthday Paul!

I hope you can see your beautiful family and friends from your view on high.
Guide them, love them and help them through this time.

God reminds us all that one day we will see you again.
But for now He needs you to help teach His children the love, joy and friendship you gave so willingly while on Earth.

We miss you and wish you were here.
But we understand God needs you now.

With love,
Becky, Rich and Christopher Fisk

My Little Brother  / Ann Rudd (sister)

Just wanted to share with all the words I spoke at Pauls services:

Who can forget hearing the music in Pauls car arrive 10 minutes before his actual car did? Paul made MTV cool before MTV was cool. He loved his headbanger music so much, that he had at least a million (well I might be exaggerating a little) t shirts from his concerts. He was probably the only college student who didn't have to bring home laundry for mom too often, but when he did, we had t shirts drying everywhere!

When Paul was younger, we sat through the magic shows he put on, we barely tolerated the Star Trek obsession, the only thing ever on our tv, and we were amazed at his strength and courage fighting cancer at age 11, never thinking the cure for that would take him from us now. Thank you mom and dad for all the tlc you gave him.

We never thought Paul would ever have childern as we can all remember him at the top of the stairs, yelling at us to shut our kids up. Its amazing how a man can change when you add a soul mate and 2 little girls to the mix. Thank you, Stacey, for being that soul mate and making him so happy for the last 19 years! As I joked the other night, you 2 were the only ones who could put up with each other. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin and a friend to all and could not of been more proud of his family. We will miss his smile, but all we really have to do is look into his girls eyes and see him beaming through.

I will miss his almost nightly calls as I debated with the girls whether mice were cute or gross and he would interpret for me when I couldn't quite understand them. We will even miss those yellow shorts!

He is probably up there laughing at us as we try to solve our computer problems. I can hear him say, "Its not that difficult, its really quite simple" as we roll our eyes because we really have no clue.

Mom told me the other day that I'm now the baby, but Paul will always be the baby as he lives on in our hearts. Because there were 9 of us kids in our family, we often joked we had enough for a baseball team, well we have lost our All Star. Rest in peace Paul, we love you!

Missing Paul (Pill) with all my heart.  The last time I talked with him he was already in the hospital awaiting surgery.  I was watching the twins at his and Stacey's house.  He called to talk to the girls and tell them that he loved them.  I told him I loved him and he told me "love you too".  I am grateful for those three little words. We use to complain we could never get him off the phone.  How I wish we could take that back and cherish every minute of all those calls.  He always seemed so homesick and we were so glad when he got to move closer.   We were looking forward to many more family get togethers.  Always big events and with lots of conversations.  He got to enjoy some of those and other good times the last few months of his life.  Paul had a very full life and enjoyed it to the fullest.  No one had a bigger smile or kindess towards other than Paul.  He loved his girls and Stacey with all his heart.  Thank you to all of our family, friends, and anyone who remembered Paul.  Your thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness during this life changing event in our lives has helped us through this so far.  We will have many bad days ahead, but look forward to the good ones remembering what a wonderful person he was.  Love you always.  Close

Dearest Stacey and family, may the Lord comfort you and your family at this time and forever.  I'm sorry such sadness has fallen your way.  I think of you and the family often.  May you find peace in your heart to get you through each day with your children and loving memories of Paul.  Love Wendi (Joe's daughter)  I met you and Paul in Disney with Linda & Joe.

I just read of Paul's passing. Please extend my condolences to his entire family. I visited with his parents a few years ago when I was in Westville - great people. I was ahead of Paul at St. Mary's and Schlarman and well remember his illness and recovery in grade school. So sorry for your loss.

As I sit here with your empty chair next to me watching TV, your favorite past time, I am crushed beyone measure.  I miss your smile, your kindness, your warmth and love.  I truly don't know what to do without you.

You are and will always be my soulmate.  The man I shared everything with.  Someone said to me that very few people find what we had.  While that is true and I am greatful for the time we had, I grieve for what should have been.

Thank you for being my hopeless romantic, and such a kind and gentle soul.  You will be forever missed.
